PROGRAMME EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES (PEO)
PEO1 - To validate and generate solutions to issues by applying deep disciplinary knowledge of relevant practices and research in the field of fine arts and design. (MQF 1, MQF 2, MQF 3a)
PEO2 - To design and create novel solutions by leveraging current digital technologies and numerical techniques to address emerging problems within academia and/or industry. (MQF 3d, MQF 3e)
PEO3 - To articulate issues in the field of fine arts and design as a leading practitioner who engages stakeholders confidently and authoritatively to ensure adherence to ethical practices. (MQF 3c, MQF 3f, MQF 5)

PEO4 -
To uphold lifelong learning and foster entrepreneurial initiatives in advancing the profession and industry. (MQF 3b, MQF 4a, MQF 4b)
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

A master’s degree in the field or related fields accepted by Senate;

or

Other qualifications equivalent to a master’s degree recognised by the Senate;or

Master’s candidates possessing a Bachelor’s Degree with CGPA 3.30 and above may apply for conversion to the Doctor of Philosophy Programme subject to terms;

or

Candidates possessing a Bachelor’s Degree with CGPA 3.70 and above may apply for direct admission to the Doctor of Philosophy Programme subject to terms.

For PhD in Arts, the additional admission requirement are:

Pass an interview OR submission of portfolio determined by the HEP as required.

 

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS (INTERNATIONAL CANDIDATES)

All international candidates must fulfill minimum language requirements according to programs as follows:

For international students, a minimum IELTS Score of 5.5 or its equivalent ( eg. TOEFL-550; CAMBRIDGE ENGLISH QUALIFICATIONS AND TESTS-160; *IBT – Internet Based TOEFL 46;             MUET BAND 4 ) is required.

Who obtained a degree from the following countries that use English in their education system; Anguilla, Antigua & Barbuda, Australia, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Botswana, British Indian Ocean Territory, British Virgin Islands, Cameroon, Canada, Cayman Island, Dominica, Falkland Island, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Gambia, Ghana, Gibraltar, Grenada, Guam, Guernsey, Guyana, India, Ireland, Isle of Man, Jamaica, Jersey, Kenya, Kiribati, Lesotho, Liberia, Madagascar, Malta, Marshall Islands, Mauritius, Montserrat, Namibia, Nauru, New Zealand, Nigeria, Pakistan, palau, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Rwanda,Saint Helena, Saint Kitts & nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Samoa, Seychelles, Sierra Leone, Singapore, Soloman islands, South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Swaziland, Tanzania, Trinidad & Tobago, Turks & Caicos Islands, U.S Virgin Islands, Uganda, United Kingdom, USA, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.

Who obtained a degree from any Malaysian Higher Learning Institutions which use English as their medium of instruction.
